District Governor 2009-10
Colin Gershon
Colin Gershon, an attorney specializing in trust and estates and elder law, joined New Haven Rotary in 1982. As Club President, 1999-2000, his Club was awarded Significant Achievements in Club and International Service. He served as District Community Service Chair (2001-2004), Assistant Governor (2004-2007) and District Rotaract Chair and District Significant Achievement Awards Chair (2007-08). He is a member of the Paul Harris Society and is a Paul Harris Fellow with four sapphires. He was the 2003 recipient of the Donald A. Adams Award.
Colin is past Moderator of the First Congregational Church of Branford (1989-90) and Past President of the James Blackstone Memorial Library in Branford (2003-05). He earned a BA with honors from Colgate University, A JD from Washington & Lee, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from NYU. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Estate and Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. He served as a lieutenant in the US Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps between 1971 and 1976.
Colin and his wife, Millicent, have three sons, Eric, Colin Andrew, and Timothy.
